Terms of Service

WattCheck is an independent electricity plan comparison tool for residential customers in VIC, NSW, SE QLD, SA, TAS and ACT. We compare verified plans sourced from the federal Consumer Data Right (CDR) registry against your actual bill data and produce an estimated annual cost for each available plan.

WattCheck offers:

• Free — upload your bill and see your estimated saving amount, the recommended retailer and plan, switching instructions, and comparison against the government reference price (VDO/DMO/TSO). No card and no account required.
• Annual monitoring — AUD $39 per year — recurring annual subscription that runs a quarterly market check as rates change.

All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. Payments are processed by Stripe (stripe.com), our PCI-compliant payments provider. Ausentis Labs does not store your card details.

We stand behind the accuracy of our comparison. If, within 30 days of purchase, you can show that the rates used by WattCheck for your recommended plan differ from the retailer's published rates for your address by more than 15%, we will provide a full refund of the amount you paid. Email support@ausentis.com.au with your receipt and a copy of the retailer's quote to claim a refund.

WattCheck results are indicative only. They are calculated from the rates published in the CDR registry and the usage data you upload. Before switching, you must verify the rates directly with the retailer, as retailers may change pricing, apply conditional discounts, or have eligibility rules that we cannot detect. WattCheck does not act as your energy broker or agent and does not arrange the switch itself.

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Ausentis Labs Pty Ltd's total aggregate liability to you arising from or in connection with WattCheck is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, including missed savings, retailer pricing changes, or losses arising from switching decisions. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be lawfully excluded.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and Ausentis Labs Pty Ltd submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.
